It was fantastic to meet so many of our customers at the IOM Worlds, and equally rewarding to welcome new faces to the Cat Components family. The fleet on display was genuinely impressive—a testament to the quality of sailors competing.
The event was tremendous for us, and personally significant as well. Serving as one of the Assistant Race Officers gave me a unique vantage point to see our products in action across the entire competition. It was demanding work, but deeply satisfying.
We're proud to report that boats fitted with our components secured multiple race wins, and two of the top ten finishers relied on our parts. That kind of performance validation means everything to us.
Our reach was extended through the notorious In-It-To-Win-It draws. Cat Components vouchers travelled to France, Australia, and the USA, while one fortunate competitor took one of our Start Boxes all the way to Malaysia. Another global moment for the brand.
One of our Start Boxes became the voice of the event itself, delivering over 120 start sequences throughout the week. We enhanced it with a dedicated amplifier to cut through ambient noise—including the occasional Boeing 747 overhead—and added a freestanding LED countdown display to support a hearing-impaired competitor. These aren't standard features, but they showcased what our systems can deliver when pushed.
The Start Box resilience and reliability demonstrated over that weekend reinforced our confidence in what we build.
