Race Start Box - Mk2

The Race Start Box Mk2 is a 3D-printed start system engineered for radio sailing competitions with fully customisable audio playback.

Now with a front-panel volume control and battery-state display providing immediate operational feedback, whilst the ergonomic carry handle ensures portability. 

Weighing only 0.75kg and 120mm x 120mm x 125mm (H x W x D) the system is compact and portable.

Choose up to 7 start sequences via the rotary selector, started and stopped using two press buttons on the front of the unit.  

Our supplied sequences include the standard 1 and 2 minute starts,  a 3-minute handicap start, 1, 2 and 3 minute calls to the water followed by the standard 2 minute count and a recall Klaxon.  If you wish to have a different sequence then we will try to accommodate your wish.

The wireless 4-button remote triggers the first three recordings independently, with the fourth button activating a klaxon abort signal; double-press the 4th button to broadcast a general recall.

Twin sealed 10-watt speakers project clear audio across control areas whilst protecting internal components from moisture ingress.

Waterproof switches and tactile buttons enable reliable operation in light rain conditions.

Powered by any 2S LiPo, LiFe, or Li-ion battery via standard 3-pin balance connector. (Please note that if you use a LiFe battery the battery-state display will always show the battery in a discharged condition due to the relatively low nominal voltage of a LiFe battery)

Use under a protective case/cover during heavy precipitation.  We suggest you store the unit in a dry dry environment with battery cover removed to allow any moisture to evaporate between your events.
